Friday 16th January I went to Guerrilla - the videogame developper in Amsterdam - for a studio visit concerning the title they are producing for EIDOS, called Shellshock: Nam '67. I drove all the way from Brussels to Amsterdam with Sven Van de Perre, Chief Editor of Official Playstation 2 Magazine and we met Eric Bartelson from GamePro at Guerrilla. EIDOS had invited people from all over the world: USA, UK, France, Germany, Scandinavia,... and Benelux.
We all had lunch in a cool 'loungy' place called Herengracht before the presentation that started at 2PM. Presentations were very interesting and professional ... my favourite parts were the AI and sound effects presentations. The game looked great and the evening that followed samewise :-)
After the presentations we all went back to the place where we had lunch, for a couple of drinks. Afterwards Guerrilla's Commercial Director took us all out for dinner, drinks and a guided tour of Amsterdam.
I was quite an evening combining work and play ;-)
I took 'atmosphere' pics at Guerrilla and posted just some on my PhotoBlog ... have a look.
