Stumbling on an article about www.marketingmixer.be I decided to send John Bayens (www.baeyens.net) an e-mail ... we share a mutual friend being Michel Bauwens (and seemingly also Sigrid V.A.). Seeing John's web site, I realised now was the time to update my Blog. I even activated a PhotoBlog account (www.photoblog.be) ... which is a start, I however still need to upload the pics, hmmm ... not really a good start for a PHOTOblog ;-)

Yesterday I went to Paris with 4 journalists for the presentation of StarCraft Ghost by Bill Roper from Blizzard. Needless to say ... the presentation was excellent, Bill Roper gave so much intersting information. I never saw any journalist take so many notes as yesterday.
The organisation by VU Games was excellent and I'm sure that the feedback from the press will be excellent even while this is just a Work in Progress item.
In a couple of weeks Bill Roper is coming back to Europe for the presentation of WarCraft III expansion The Frozen Throne and for World of WarCraft ... back to Paris :-)

Last week I went to Normandy with some Benelux journalists for the presentation of the PC game Commandos 3 > WOW! The game looked great and the entire concept of the press trip was very nice. Everything was setup in the Chateau de Audrieu (www.chateaudaudrieu.com) and at our arrival on Wednesday the music, papers and calendars were all adapted as if it were the 5th of June 1944, the day before the assault by the allied troops in order to free Europe. Next morning (virtually 6th of June 1944) we heard the BBC news on the radio, had the game presentation and in the afternoon we went to see the beaches were the heavy fighting took place in 1944 > it was all quite impressive.
Oh yeah and before I forget > the food in Chateau de Audrieu was so good, I would have expatriated myself gastronomically if I could ;-) no wonder the Germans invaded France ;-)

So ... I'm back from Berlin where I spent 2 days with a couple of journalists at the Vivendi Universal Games Spring Fair. Cool guys those games press journalists :-)
We saw some interesting games for the coming months: The Hulk, HomeWorld 2, Ground Control 2, The Hobbit, Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter all looked quite impressive. Even Black & Bruised the cartooneske boxing game was graphically interesting.
What a shame there was nothing on StarCraft Ghost, but tadaa ... on the 19th I can go to a Product Presentation in Paris by Bill Roper himself which will surely make up for this.
By the way ... Berlin was very impressive.

Well, cool ... these are my first steps into BlogWorld.
Seems like a good idea to use this instead of updating my web site ... which happens once a year ;-)
